On this panel, four strong and influential voices within the literary world will discuss the necessity of analyzing and documenting the make-up of the workforce, the importance of balanced and equal representation in book reviews, as well as the critical need for books to be written by diverse authors with a plurality of narratives to help promote literacy and social justice.
Please join Amy King of VIDA: Women in Literary Arts, Jamia Wilson of WAM! Women, Action & the Media, Jim Milliot of Publishers Weekly, Sona Charaipotra of We Need Diverse Books, and Preeti Chhibber of the Children's Book Council's Diversity Committee as they discuss their work and activism, the progress that has been made and what still needs to be done.
